大戦末期のドイツ軍の大作戦を描いた戦争スペクタクル。1944年、敗色濃いドイツ軍は、起死回生をかけて、アルデンヌの連合軍部隊を急襲した。早くも勝利気分に浸っていた連合側は、雲霞のごとくあらわれたタイガー戦車群に、ことごとく破れさっていく。そして同じ頃、戦線後方に、ドイツのパラシュート部隊が降下を開始していた。
